About the Hundred

Eight men's teams and eight women's teams from key cities of England and Wales compete in the professional franchise 100-ball cricket competition known as The Hundred. The England and Wales Cricket Board (ECB) oversees the competition, which debuted in July and August of 2021.

 Format of The Hundred

As the name suggests, 'The Hundred' is a form of limited-overs cricket, played by two teams, and each team plays 100 balls in a single innings. The duration of the game lasts approximately two and a half hours.

Each team plays 100 balls in an innings.
A change of batting ends after every ten balls.
Bowlers can deliver either 5 or 10 consecutive deliveries.
Each bowler can bowl a maximum of 20 balls per game.
The batting powerplay is of 25-ball in the beginning of the inning. Only two players are allowed outside the 30-yard circle during the batting powerplay.
Each bowling side gets a bowling strategic time out after batting powerplay of up to 2 and a half minutes.
