Hey everyone!  Sorry for the delay, I know I have been promising a developer update for a while now.  Better late than never! There are a few things I want to talk about, some of which are live right now and some of which are coming very soon.

Mobile Website

I have been improving the mobile website over the past few months but have made some large quality of life changes over the past couple of days.  I have completely redone the bottom chat bar, replacing with quick and full navigation menus. I have removed the "arrow" navigation from the top and am now using Googles "three dot" standard at the bottom.  The navigation should be a lot more clearer, easier to use and more space efficient.

It is my aim to continue improving our mobile website and over the coming days/weeks you should see some good changes, making much better use of space and offering functionality not there before for mobile users.

Please let me know in the comments how you find the mobile website and if there is anything I could do to improve it.

India Bet Seasonal Leagues

As you know, the IBSL and IBGL leagues finished a few days ago and congratulations to the winners Anking and Mohit Kumar Dash.  The new (and first) season will be coming very soon and will be offering some great prizes. I am currently looking into how the pre-season went and tweaking the points calculation formula as and when required.

One thing I have seen is that it seems a little too easy at the moment to stick around 100% ROI with lots of consistent "safe" bets, with someone doing this being able to beat a more risky player almost 100% of the time.  I am looking into rewarding the higher ROI amounts a little more to enable great bettors the ability to catch up.

Progression System

This has been what Phil and I have been working on for the past month or so and we are very excited to announce that we should be launching soon!  Basically the progression system is a replacement for the current levels which as you know are extremely basic.

The new progression system completely overhauls the current level system expanding it to 1000 levels and offering multiple rewards for each level such as better daily reloads, increased betting limits and the ability to purchase more prize draw tickets.  So at last there will be a good reason to keep on playing with us!  There are obvious advantages to better daily reloads and the ability to purchase more prize draw tickets!  You have at last a decent way in which to improve your chances of winning.

There is an issue with this new system however and that is we have completely redone all the levels and XP requirements for each level.  This means that your current level does not really mean the same as your equivalent level in the progression system.  We are planning on offering existing users 2 options when upgrading their account to use the new progression system.

  • Level > Level conversion
Your level will stay the same and you will be simply be moved onto the rewards for that level in the new progression system.   This is the simplist option but not the most efficent.
  • Level Reset
Your level and rewards/limits will be reset back to level 1.   To compensate for this you will be given a lump sum of IBR and an XP boost which should allow you to get back to your original level fairly quickly but also has the benefit of you gaining all the rewards for your progression.  This is a lot slower than the option above but has the benefit of you gaining a bunch of stars and IBR through levelling up but also you should be able to quite easily surpass your previous level before you run out of IBR.

I see this launching in the coming weeks, possibly a little sooner depending on how things are going.  It is going into internal testing today so I will see how that goes first!

Sporting Leaderboards

I am currently looking into some users betting trends as there are a few users quite obviously gaming the system to maximise the number of points.  I am seeing a bunch of large bets (1000+ IBR) combined with dozens (if not 100s) of 1 IBR bets to maximise points.  This method of betting is not really how I want the leaderboards to be played so even though I want to keep the number of bets impacting points, I want to reduce the ability to cheat.  I am thinking perhaps increasing the minimum bet amount will solve this problem, keep an eye on the blog for more information.
