With West Indies winning the 1st ODI by chasing a target of over 300, Pakistan needed to win the 2nd ODI if they wanted to stay alive in the ODI series and they did exactly that. Batting first, they put up a competitive score of 282/5, which was no doubt, lower than what they got in the 1st ODI.

Babar Azam was the hero of that game, scoring his 5th ODI century in just his 25th One Day International match and this was also his 4th century against West Indies. He finished at a career best score of 125* while Shannon Gabriel was the best bowler of the hosts, picking up 2/50.

This was always going to be a tough chase and the West Indian batsmen weren't helping the cause by playing bad shots and giving away their wickets. Only Jason Holder looked good as he scored 68 but it wasn't ebough as they were bowled out for 208 and Azam won the MOM award, even though Hasan Ali picked up a 5-for.

Result: Pakistan win by 74 runs; level series 1-1!
