Eden Gardens is probably the most famous ground in India. Established in 1864 it now has a capacity of 90,000, all of which are seated. The enormous ground plays host to almost every major international game that takes place in Kolkata and is a favourite for touring sides.
Both the Bengal Cricket Team and the Kolkata Knight Riders use Eden Gardens as their home ground and the atmosphere at the floodlit home games during the IPL is one of the most electrifying in world cricket. On Eden Garden Road, tickets are readily available for test games, with five day tickets often costing under 500 Rupees.
