The enormous Wankhede Stadium sits alongside the Gymkhana and the Brabourne in Mumbai's historic Churchgate district. The Churchgate area in Mumbai probably has more cricketing history per square meter than anywhere else in the world.

Almost every touring international side visits the Wankhede which was built in just 6 months during 1974. It holds just under 33,500 spectators and was recently renovated for the 2011 Cricket World Cup.

It is the home of the Mumbai Indians in the IPL and was the ground where Ravi Shashir made history by hitting six sixes in just one over.
