Pune Racecourse is the sister course of Mahalaxmi Racecourse. Pune is very close to Mumbai and one can travel there easily by train. Pune Racecourse is situated in the Cantonment area of Pune and can be accessed from the Turf Club Road, which is just off National Highway 9. The Race Course train station is also very nearby the course.
The course is the home of a number of great races, including The Pune Derby, The RWITC Invitational, The Independence Cup an The Southern Command Cup.
Racing occurs between July and October and there is also off course bookmaking throughout the year. The track was built in 1830 and there has been racing there ever since. Prices are very similar to those at Mahalaxmi, however, prices do rise on big race days.
