Puneri Paltan represents the city of Pune, Maharashtra's cultural centre and educational centre. Puneri Paltan played well in the last season to reach the playoffs.
Shree Shiv Chhatrapati Sports Complex, Pune is the home venue for Puneri Paltan. Insurekot Sports Pvt. Ltd. owns Puneri Paltan, and the company is passionate about promoting the traditional sport of Kabaddi in India.
Captain: Manjeet Chillar is a promising captain that has lead the team from the front and made sure that the Paltan reached the play offs last season, finishing third on the points table, with seven wins from their 14 games.
Raiders
Ajay Thakur and Sonu Narwal are the top raiders for Paltan. Thakur was the most successful raider for Puneri Paltan last season. Also, he has been part of Indian Kabaddi team and Asian Gold Medalist team in 2014. Akshay Jadhav, Jay Bahadur Bohara (Nepal) and Khomsan Thongkham (Thailand) might play their first game from Puneri Paltan.
Defenders
Ravinder Pahal (Right Corner), Delhi's former captain and defender will now strengthen Paltans right corner. Joginder Narwal (Left Corner), Gurpreet Singh (Right Corner) & Somvir Shekhar (Right Cover) make a strong defensive line up for Puneri Paltan. I Ketut Ariana (Right Corner), Ravinder Kumar (Right Corner) and Virender Chhillar (Left Corner) might play their first game as defenders.
All Rounders
Deepak Niwas Hooda & Nitin Tomar are good all rounders in Puneri Paltan's team. Pramod Narwal, Preetam Chhillar and Dalbir will be their bench strength.
